if u need an appartment ASAP
how easy is it to get one? and do u need a line of credit to obtain a place to live? do landlords really care as long as u have the money? and if u dont they obviously kick u out and still ask for the money do u need credit? what happens if u dont have any? |

In Montreal, its not easy.
Most landlords will run a credit check and a history of your jobs, where you work now, how much you make, how long you've been working there, etc. yes, depending on the place, they usually do care. imo, if yr responsable enough to move out, you should have at LEAST ONE line/form of credit. It is not hard to obtain. The landlord dosent really care if you have a credit card, per se, but they will run a background check on you. |

yeah, but you dont need to use the card, just have it for credit purposes to show the landlord. you can cut it up right after you get it, if you wanted. |

Angry Chinchilla: Go to your bank, get a credit card. You will have it in about 2 weeks if you tell them you need it. You might need your parents as a co-signer if you've never made a large purchase before. |
