ok.. what do I do?

I want to learn how to sing.. what's a good start?

Chances are it will involve a lot of yelling and distortion peddles but I need to learn some basics... what do I do?

This is your chance to help me !

#1) Tune your voice to scales with singing "la" and "ou". la la la la la la! I'm guessing you aren't interested in being a tenor.

#2) Practice holding a note with "laaaah" and "oouuuuhhh", hold each note of a scale for a full measure.

#3) Repeat steps 1 and 2 for a while (more than several days)

#4) Try singing steps 1 and 2 without background notes.

The best sound to tune your voice would be either a violin or a piano. After you've figured out how to controll your adam's apple properly then you can move on to learning how to sing on beat to songs.

Kafwin is right join a coir. but first try what alex sais cause they will audition you, cause they don't like tonedef kids. Also alex bring your double bass to a rave you could ass extra bass to the drumb and bass!

I don't own a double bass. those things cost $3000 at least for something decent. And I don't goto jungle parties.
