Another fairly big week for d&b in Montreal....

[DRUM & BASS]

Ed Rush & Optical - The Original Dr.Shade LP on Virus.
Unless you've been living under a rock for the last little while, you've been eagerly anticipating the return of d&b's biggest potheads. A must have album for fans of the virus sound.

Silent Witness & Break - Invasion/Again & Again on No U-Turn.
No U-Turn making a serious comeback with lots of new releases scheduled form up-and-coming artists like these two hot numbers, pure tech-step for those looking for original material with some serious bass.

Swarm - Soulsiter/Give In on East Side.
More new talent coming thorugh A-Sides' label. The main tune has a disco vibe going on but with a real heavy edge to it, the b-side comes even harder with staight up amens and and no-nonsense bassline, a very solid twelve from newcomer Swarm.

Tronik 100 - You & Me EP on Renegade.
Some nice summer vibes from Tronik, after a wicked tune on the Renegade Rollers series, the man get's his second EP released and it is strictly for those who like it smooth.

Technical Itch feat. MC Jakes - The Risin'/Subwave RMX) on Moving Shadow.
Tech Itch makes history again with his slammin' anthem 'The Risin'. If you havn't picked up the limited edition promo EP on MSX then you must buy this. If you HAVE picked it up, you still need this for the Subwave Remix which takes this tune to another level! Trancey business is the order of the day on this kick-ass remix, I highly suggest you pick it up if you're in the neighborhood.

Mace - Inside Your Soul/Free Flow on Creative Source.
More smooth business from Fabio's label...exactly what you'd expect from the CS camp, straight up smooth and funky.

Gridlok & Origin/Kontraband - Wombat/SIN on Gain.
While Gridlok does come with the badness on this record, I must say the side that takes the cake is the Kontraband side, probably the tune of the week and once again it is a virtual nobody behind it!

Falcon - Unknown on Ohm.
Limited advance copies of the 4th release on Ohm, part of the Triple Vision family, based out of the Netherlands. Home of Black Sun Empire among others, these guys are set to blow up.

XRS/Ruffstuff & Eljay - Search/Soulshine on Movement.
The nest sampler of the Movement album is here! If you got the last one you already know there is one track you must have, Soulshine kills it in a liquid funk way but good! Very impressive work from two guys who are better known as dj's then producers.

Soul EP - Mind, Body & Soul LP on Defunked.
The final chapter in the three part series see's Calbre's hotness 'Brother' finally hit the streets. Alongside Kaleb (from Phuturistic Bluez) and Funk n' Flex makes this EP a nice one. But what makes it GREAT is the Carlito jam 'Turn It Up'.

More stuff will be coming in on Friday so be sure to check this thread before the weekend!

Peace,

Corey K
