Ah man, I remember this.
Wall Street, action movies, gym workouts with legwarmers, and super big hair. 80's was so innocent until 90's smashed over like a car running over your friend during your acid trip. |

Trans-x is jacques Languirand's son. Apparently, he's been able to live off that song for the past 30 years.
On a side note, the 80's was a total waist. If you dont agree, it's probably because you where too young to remember how much it really sucked. The 80's was about as innocent as snorting coke off the silicone tit's of a hooker.

It wasn't a total waste and if anybody here would to be able to recall the 80s for more than taking dumps in your diapers while watching Passe-Partout, Sesame's Street, Gi-Joe, Candy, the Friendly Giant and the Smurfs, it would be me.

80's was self indulgence for the adults.
But I certainly didn't snort coke off a hooker when I was learning how to ride a bicycle. P.O.V. from a child. |

Todlers are'nt known to have very good perspective.
The only cool things to comme from the 80's where video arcades and Patrick Roi, the rest are leftovers from the 70's If there is one word that caracterises the 80's, it's "artificial".

Everything seemed innocent to children (of the 80's). ................. Oh, Wait are you saying ROBOCOP wasn't cool?!? |

The 80s were indeed a "plastic" or "artificial" time, the world just came out of a hippie period of Peace & Love, flowers in the hair and all that "natural" stuff, something their kids didn't necessarily identified with.
Electronics were booming at the time, computers, synthesizers, calculator watches, game consoles, etc. Clothes also veered off on a 180 degree angle from their predecessors. Hemp clothes, wool ponchos, straw hats, brown, beige and orange, all that was ditched for synthetic fibers, vinyl, processed fabric and fluorescent colors. As for music, the guitars, drums, violins started making way to synths, drum machines and samplers. There was even an event called " the day disco died " where people burned their disco vinyls in some sort of rite of passage to a new musical era, paving the way for the Depeche Modes, Kraftwerks and the likes. It wasn't exactly the best way to change but it sure made one hell of an ugly ass statement.

There are a lot of things from the 80's that I love, but as far as decades go, the shit outweighs the good by a long shot.
