Well, as the RNC and Tea Baggers are the US equivalent of Islamic Jihadists, it's no surprise that assassinations would happen eventually. It's previously been just abortion clinics being bombed but now something as innocuous as universal health care is enough to drum up the borderline psychos to target political opposition. Her opponent in the previous election held "shooting range days" when she was going to speak in public before the elections, her offices had been vandalized, and an individual was caught carrying firearms to a previous public speaking event. 
Palin also had a "map" on her website putting crosshairs on 20 congress seats they wanted back, Gifford being one of those.  |
