 Coolness: 41315 | Honestly I understand why Antonino is frustrated, you guys seriously have been insulting him and making fun of him for years.
Yeah he may like younger women, but a large population of men do,especially in the rave scene. Women are also known to like older men, so why blame a guy for trying right. He's been nothing but nice and polite to me, and to a lot of other women I know, and i find it funny that a lot of people who complain about his "creepiness", openly pose in pictures with him. It's not like he's taking underskirt shots, or pictures of women in bathroom stalls, and from what i've seen, he usually asks "Can I take a picture with you?" then proceeds to. If someone puts his face next to yours, and puts a camera in front of you two, and then a flash appears, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out what's going on... When women see a guy with a camera(especially a nice one) they flock to him, i've seen this happen countless times. If he figured this out and is using it to his advantage good for him. And honestly women, if you're even somewhat attractive, it's not like you haven't had to deal with creepy men since the time you hit puberty, we're always on the deffensive,and ladies are always quick to label a guy as "creepy or weird", if they simply don't like one thing about him. The truth is if antonino had been some really handsome guy or maybe a bit smoother with his words,or even behind turntables at some point...( i've seen eyes light up when this happens trust me) the female population wouldn't mind him so much. I don't see why everyone is acting like he's the only man who's ever come up to you and been a bit odd, and if he is... well there will be a lot more to come. So he does things that are a bit weird in his free time, which one of us doesn't. I really doubt that anyone would like what they do in their spare time to be under such intense scrutiny, and be judged by practically everyone in the rave scene. Isn't the rave scene supposed to be an amalgamation of people who always stuck out a bit, or who didn't quite fit in. What we hated most in places like high school or other times in our lives was to be judged by other who didn't know about our lives or take the time to get to know us. That's exactly what everyone is doing here. I mean there are so many more horrid and dangerous things going on in the world than a guy who takes a lot of pictures with girls. |

The States can be so fucking barbaric sometimes. putting a vulnerable 14 year old kid into any kind of jail is like throwing a goldfish into a piranha tank. all that bad stuff you hear about what goes on in jails really does happen in a lot of jails. some people just get brutalized daily. some kids have been thrown in with hardened criminals, and they wind up committing suicide because they're being beaten and raped on a regular basis. and guards don't even do anything to stop it. it's cruel and unusual punishment on top of the sentence they're given. if you listen to what the white convict has to say in the later part of the video 1, and the beginning of the second, that is a reality for a lot of young kids who get sent away. no civilized country should have a system like this so basically when you get sent to these places, even if you're a soft person, you can be put in the same jail with hardened predators. my friend had to spend one night in Barton Jail in Hamilton and he said it was just awful. he's a tough enough guy too.. but two bigger guys tricked him into thinking they were friendly, then as soon as the cell door locked they both took turns kicking the shit out of him all night, until the guards unlocked the door the next morning.. so you have a choice of being predator or prey. some people go in for a short stint for car theft and wind up getting a 15 year sentence tacked on for stabbing another inmate in self defense. I saw an interview with a guy in New York City like that.. he went in as a kid in 1985 for a 2 year sentence, and he only just got released in 2008. so now the public has to deal with this angry battle-hardened unemployed psychopath walking the streets looking for someone to vent on. great! again, to reiterate.. the penal system is barbaric... so it's no place to send some kid who's barely hit puberty. not in that case. this is an article about the brutality of the new "superjail" for youth in the Toronto area: Violence reports soar at youth jail anyway a bit of a digression from the main topic, but I just don't think it's civilized to send anyone - let alone a 14 year old child - to places like this. it's not going to rehabilitate them. it'll either cripple them or turn them into a monster. |

Hasn't he been enjoying himself at the expense of others? Not everyone likes to have pics of their cleavage or drug-induced-retardation on the 'net, not everyone likes to be in his 'movie'. He's also allowed into parties for free 'cause he has a camera. Clearly he hits on alot of girls ... None of that is necessarily wrong, but some people might take offence - and that's natural. Like I've said before, there are ways of taking a pic and making it look good, then there are ways of taking pics to have the maximum amount of cleavage and stuff in the shot. He does the latter. There are thousands of photographers in Montreal, why is he the only one being put down? hmm ... maybe it's his underlying themes? (young attractive raver chicks & himself). So, that extensive picture collection you speak of is part of the problem. I try not to insult him, and I say Hi when I see him, but I do criticise his methods. And he has a right to speak up against that, but is he here in the thread taking a stand, explaining himself? No, it seems, he threatens individuals instead. Of course he's worried about his reputation! But sometimes that isn't the fault of others' reactions, or slander, it's your original actions. Anyway, if you're gonna rave with people half your age, take a million pictures - most of which with your face in it, make a movie about that scene, talk to everyobdy, and basically put yourself in the spotlight, you have to expect some sort of reaction! It's a little naive/childish to be all "look at me! look at me! -- but don't judge me!" ... assume the consequences of your choices. |

Look, if you're accused of something you didn't do, would it be in your best advantage to come up with counter arguments instead of telling the accusers that they're ugly and to watch what they are saying "or else" ?
