[ www.thestar.com ] Mounties seize seven tonnes of hash, enough to intoxicate the entire country Published 1 hour 19 minutes ago The Canadian Press MONTREAL—The Mounties have seized a container packed with enough hashish to make the entire country high. Police in Montreal discovered seven tonnes of hashish — or about seven million grams. The dark-brown, laptop-sized hash bricks were discovered in an abandoned trailer in the city’s west end. RCMP Cpl. Luc Thibault says the slabs of hash had been shrouded in denim clothing and stuffed into cardboard boxes. He says the entire trailer was crammed with the drug. Thibault says this is one of the biggest hash seizures his detachment can remember. He says police received a call about the mysterious trucking container after it had been sitting in a suburban storage lot for several days. Thibault says police have not made any arrests, but are investigating. RCMP are reaching out to the public for leads. |

let's do a little math here 1 kilo of hash goes for about $8000 so 7000 kilos times 8000 = 56 000 000 dollars worth of hashish...that's a lot of money... |
