 Coolness: 94405 | quebecors want more gov't services and make less money than the rest of the country. So they pay more taxes. In all fairness, the tax rates in Quebec are already pretty progressive. And most of the newest programs are aimed at the lower and middle class - ie the day care stuff.
So, its really only fair that the people are taxed across the board. Only taxing rich people to provide services that primarily service poor people when those rich people already pay the highest tax rates in the entire country is pretty unfair IMO. |
