I'm for it, but after 20 weeks when the baby recongnises your voice, when he moves and has facial expressions etc I'm against it.

I say fuck it.

I say it should be mandatory if the kid is facing a life sentence of neglect.
Be it for economical reasons, or logistics.

it always depends on the circumstances but sometimes we do have to draw the line. Beyond the mother's choice, I think that anytime before the baby is born is probably fine. I could be even after (hmm, this kid is born vegetable...a little morphine and voila) but the line is clearer between born and unborn. Sometimes even certain adults should get "aborted" if you ask me.

In my opinion, if it doesn't have a heart yet, then it's fine... If I had a living thing in me without a heart and I aborted it, I wouldn't be affected. But if I aborted something that had a beating heart inside me, I would feel horrible. But that's just me.

it's natural to feel horrible

i don't know any girl who went through this harsh operation without feeling like total shit

who would get an abortion and feel awesome about it? it's just insane

unfortunatly, even though it is terrible to think and to do, sometimes girls or couples just don't have the choice

im for the abortion, because woman who gets rape and fall pregnant have the right to end that mistake, couples who use more drugs than food have the right to think that maybe no one (not even them) would like to live in that, so why imposing this to a another human being

though if you are not in a terrible condition, and the baby is "just" a mistake, well most mistake usually finish by turning like a gift, so deal with it and please be careful with that kid, he didn't ask to be born, you made him, so you have to treat him well

this is a really hard subject though, hard to have a clear mind on it

personnaly i try to put myself in the situation and what i would do. I never had a abortion, but since im not sure if i want a baby or not sometime, i wonder what i would do if I would fall pregnant, "by mistake".

i know im way too aggressive for having a child, and because of that, not having one is what i have decide, for the good of the child. so since i know i don't want one, would I get a abortion if I one day i fall pregnant... it would be really fucking sellfish if i would, or would it, since i just don't want one because I don't think im good enough?

(always feel odd to spit a feeling on Internet that i never shared with anyone before haha)
I'm feeling kiss me, im shitface right now..

I wont say if i'm anti or pro abortion. This is a personal opinion for me.

But i can definitivly say out loud that i'm pro choice. People should be able to chose if they want

their foetus to be aborted or not.

Anyway, whithout abortion clinics, people would try to abort pregnancy by themselves with some barbarious and dangerous means.

Those anti-abortion freaks are just crazy religious people who wants to deprive others who dont believe their crap of some basic health right. That's so backwarded, redneck and what's the word.... shoutern USA white trash american. When i think of anti-abortion people, the second image that comes to my mind is a trailer park, methamphetamine and a protestant white anglo saxon right wing chuck norris type character lobbying for the right to carry a bazooka.

Definitely for. I understand people who are against it, but you gotta do what you gotta do. Everybody makes mistakes, but you should not spend the rest of your life paying for it if you can do something about it.
so yes. Absolutely and definitely PRO.

i think it is important to first acknowledge the fact that no one is "for it".. that's one of the argument of pro-life; that the pro-choice camp are "for abortion" as if we are doing a party to celebrate the baby killer or something when that happen!

i think personally that abortion is a terrible thing and a very unpleasant experience but i still remain pro-choice as i believe in the individual choices offered to women in majority of western countries...

BUT i think this issues must be handle by strong regulations, for me the perfect deal is still usa's Roe v. Wade which in short protect both the choices of woman and the right of a baby.

this case ruled state that the first trimester of pregnancy is entirely the choice of the woman, the second trimester is the choice of the government and the woman and the third trimester is entirely protecting the baby's life as an existing entity. that's why a woman 8 months pregnant would be arrested/prosecuted if she would attempt anything resolving in negative consequences for the baby.

i think it's a perfect compromise... i am very afraid for woman in many parts of the USA :(.. the climate here is full of hate and people are brainwashed by irrational arguments or religious dogma... and i tell you there;s some crazy churches down here!

not all Americans think like that and when i meet a woman whose indoctrinated i try to expose to her less emotional arguments but studies case like the one concerning abortions and the resulting lower crime rates in USA from Steven Levitt's Freakonomics book.

i think the pro choice view is that it is a personal choice; if one is against abortion well they can act accordingly in their personal life's choice and deal with keeping it or adoption; if someone wants something different the choice is offered to them.

i find it also very hypocrite that some Christian are against abortion under the pretext that only god can decide on the faith of a human life but then these same Christians are for the death penalty.
I'm feeling hitched right now..
