Make Your Torrents Faster Possibly. Does This Work For You?

Today I saw my torrent downloads go from 200K/sec (which was getting slow) to 1.8M/sec with 10 torrents downloading at a time...
In uTorrent settings under the BitTorrent Tab I DISABLED: - DHT - Local Peer Discovery - Peer Exchange These services are only good for torrents which have been deleted from the tracker. It's basically like an eMule system where it asks different hosts if they have the hash of that file anywhere so even if it's named something else, it will know. This causes 1000's of UDP requests which slow down your router since it has to process all those requests. Even with the best regular router on the market which allows 4096 connections it slows things down and the connection table fills up. If you only download torrents with lots of seeds, you don't need this. Just by doing that I saw my speed increase 900%. I'm wondering if this works for anyone else... I also disabled the bandwidth management but I'm not sure if that did anything. I know disabling all the UDP stuff did... I'm once again a happy P2P user...

Max Upload: 50kbps (allows headroom so you can browse faster)
Global Connections: 750 Max Per Torrent: 150 In the BitTorrent tab I actually disabled everything but not sure you have to do that, only all the UDP stuff... I also made the default TCP timeout to 300 seconds instead of the default 3600 seconds. Which means if it's not connecting within 5 minutes to someone, disconnect the connection. Normally it waits for an hour. If you don't connect within 5 minutes, I'd rather try and connect to someone else...

Outgoing encryption is Enabled but not Forced... I didn't play with that really... I do not allow legacy connections... I'm really bored so I've been trying different things and checking on DD-WRT so that the Load Average goes no more then 0.1 and the connections stay at the lowest possible. It's hovering around 1000 connections now instead of the 3500 I had before...

Lost 400% speed... Seems impossible since without the eMule DTH your connecting only to known peers who are seeding the file which should result in you getting better speeds. It also takes up to 3600 seconds for the changes to take effect and old torrents already running won't have the changes done. You will have to disable the Peer Exchange, DTH and Local Peer Discovery on your own since it sets those things up when you add a torrent, and won't change when you change settings...
The 750 Connections might be a problem with older routers. I know mine can handle up to 4096 connections, older ones way less. Anyways if it does not work for you just change it back. It's been working for me. Not only do I have better speeds, but my net while downloading torrents flies which it didn't before.

Well my torrent was going to about 1 m/s then when I change the setting I was about to 180k/s
maybe I didn't change the setting correctly (doubt it since it's just checkered box).
