you can click on the image and then click on original to see the image in it's original form... it's just to stop stretching...

yeah, but that's two more clicks, as opposed to having it display right away.. can't even just right-click>View Original Size with the board resizing..

It's not dots, it's if you follow a dot by something that starts with CA or COM, or if you've got 3 Ws in what you type..

 awwwwwww.

I have to agree.

The limit at which an image is resized should be brought way up if you ask me.

The dotCA thing is just plain goofy and has no business whatsover with posting website links.

check this out :

tremble...tremble...tremble...

[ rumble...ru ]

there should be a trailing space or slash for the parser to pick it up as an addy

not [ .ca ] but also [ .ru ] [ .com ] .whatever that exist , but this relies on a cheaply build ref list. this is why i think its as annoying as the image resize since it fucks things more than a clean asserted code.

Well, the parser should only work if you the "www" part before instead of just RAVEdotCA.

So in essence, it should remain UNTOUCHED if wewrite " Rave,ca " ( obviously, should be a dot instead of a comma ) and CONVERTED if we write " www,Rave,ca ".

also , why trap the number ZERO to null ? type the number and post it see what happens.. and also any number with a monetary sign gets blanked out (only tested in the pm section , also had problem with phone numbers getting changed there too)

well, not all sites use the www at the start.. like, for example, [ mail.google.com ] , though [ www.mail.google.com ] might still work, it would look hella-stupid :P

but yeah, for the WWWdot it should at least check if it ends with a com ru ca whatever before turning it into a link, and also check that, say, the dotCA isn't part of a word, like, if I type dotCANADA, since there's no space after the CA, it shouldn't be turned into [ .ca ]

I'll fix that someday but it's not super important... Most people know to put spaces after periods... Some people don't know how to type and that is where the problem comes from. If you know how to type and use proper punctuation then there should never be a problem.

See, the problem here comes from assuming that people know how to spell or write properly.. Most people say "oh it's just the Internet it doesn't matter", but really they just don't know how to write.

.[.$.c.h.e.c.k = array.(.'.h.t.t.p://', 'h.t.t.p.s://', '.f.t.p://', 'w.w.w.', '.c.o.m', '.n.e.t', '.o.r.g', '.b.i.z', '.c.a', '.c.c', '.c.x', '.i.n..fo', '.m.o.b.i', '.n.a.m.e', '.r.u', '.t.v', '.u.s', '.w.s');
$.i.g.n.o.r.e = array('href=', 'src=', 'value=');

make sense by leaving dots out (obviously for readability) add the trailing spaces and slash to your rules . but at some point for your parser you will need to wrap char posix rulesset applied with awk or a better analyser.

ie:
".n.e.t/" and ".n.e.t " should be there instead of ".n.e.t"
and try to leave the quote rules out of the message fields. stick to your "[ "

ident is useless if its just for readability , it has to make sense with your ruleset of separated items. this looks mingled out of context.
