-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Et maintenant le line-up ridicule à Montréal

En pré-vente à 105$

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In Toronto they own their venue...
Here they had to rent the Pepsi Forum or whatever it's called now...

The "problem" is that here you've got to rent a venue, get the permits, security, etc..

The event in Toronto is at the Guvernment, which is like 8 or more rooms, and it's like an all-in-one club/concert venue that caters to EVERY style of electronic music..

Yeah but think about it, the owner of the "Guvnerment" as to pay the bill too.
The club/bar got a lot of staffs to pay too.
The building cost him a lot...

So renting once including security and all
VS
Paying the lease and employee goes about the same

Yeah but he doesn't just have one room to fill up; he's got like 8 rooms that can/will have all different styles of music.. You try getting an 8 room party going and if you manage to cover enough mainstream electronic music in your lineup you'll pack the place and make tons of cash, no matter where the party is thrown..

I mean, 8 rooms at 1 major headliner per room, depending on the capacity of the room, you can have tickets for next to nothing and you'll make more than enough off the door and the drinks/bar/whatever sales inside

Guvernment is one fuckin beautyfull venue, at that. There is definitely nothing like it in Montreal.
I'm guessing that the venue is paying part of the bill and is all ready set up for party's (sound deco lights) whereas in Montreal they have to book the Pepsi forum decorate it and bring in a massive sound system witch might explain, in part the discrepancy between the price of the ticket in Montreal and in Toronto. The pepsi forum also only has one room so les dj's...
For the difference in price you can buy a buss ticket and go to Toronto...
I'm feeling no sleep till tuesda right now..
