I had windows 7 installed on my brand new computer then shortly after i installed xp and deleted 7.

My external hd was working great in windows 7..but now when i plug it in ,windows xp doesn't quite read it,it doesn't show up in my computer but when i plug it in the safely remove hardware icon in the taskbar shows up...

I open it and click uasb mass storage properties and it says in Location 0 (Lacie Hard Drive USB)

iwich is the company of my hd...so it somehow reads it but won't open or show it.

anybody ever had this problem?
I'm feeling jazz right now..

i had this problem before i changed the USB port(used a different one) and it was okay! give a try! also if you can plug your HD do it ! sometimes it can be a Power issue! but then again if you have a new computer you should be okay! but its a possibility ! if not well u might have lost stuff :(((
I'm feeling analyzing charts right now..
