I Need Speakers For My Ipod

Coolness: 94175	I have a 150$ futureshop gift card, and can probably spend another 100$ or so. So ideally I want a product I can buy at futureshop. Its for my bedroom. Its about 8ft by 12 ft. I listen mostly to the following: trance, electro-house, psytrance, acid-trance, hard house, hard trance, hard style, nrg, dnb. I wanted a bose sounddock, but its way too expensive, and the other sounddocks seem like shit. So I guess Im leaning towards bookshelf speakers or computer speakers?...but i dunno what the difference between wut im getting is. Any recommendations? Coolness: 686270	just get some computer speakers and a charger for your ipod and save yourself some money.. As long as it's got a sub, you'll be fine (though personaly I'd go with a 5.1 system so that I can put a speaker in every corner of the room)

Futureshop only has 1 5.1 speaker set in my price range: [ www.futureshop.ca ] Is logictek any good? and wuts the difference btwn 2 and 2.1? Alternately, these are cheap [ www.futureshop.ca ] if im just getting computer speakers. The problem is that if I dont find a job by january i have to move back home, and a 5 piece set of speakers is a pain to transport back home :\|

Coolness: 686270	the .1 is a sub, so you want the .1 if you want bass. I've got a similar Logitec soundsystem that I've currently got in my livingroom.. It's dying now, but it withstood some insane abuse and, for what it is, gives a really good sound.. You're not gonna be getting anything comparable to a real soundsystem with a dedicated amp and speakers, but for just listening to music or watching movies in your room they're perfect!

They occasionaly have a surround system where every chanel has a sub... think an 8.8 system; dedicated left/right center, left/right front, left/right, left/right rear, each with their own subs and monoblock amp..

Coolness: 153685	.1 means there is a subwoofer, so 2.1 means 2 speakers and a subwoofer

Coolness: 686270	well, this WAS at an audiophile show.. the soundsystem in the room was worth about 1/4 million (the rest of the speakers that were visible were like 8'x4' electrostatic speakers)
