I think deli/baker/meat/produce are reasonably priced. VOcnsidering all of the parties involved to get to the bottom line
What surpises me is you listed subway as the most profit.
There shtuff isnt fresh. I worked there and was seriously grossed out with the fact that their lettuc comes in a bad pre shredded and stored in their cooler for at least a week sometimes.

The profit includes the avg cost of leasing, overhead, franchise fess, packaging and labor. THe cost of your groceries have much lower costs for all those things...

But 6-cents profit on a double cheeseburger? Man if i owned a mcdonalds, Id make people buy a drink with that. I remember I always use to get 2-double cheeseburgers and 2-apple pies for 4.73. Nom Nom Nom.

i bet it's far higher on the regular meals and if you think about it, soda is pure profit.

For realz...
not to mention your math is seriously flawed...
honestly...
i hope you copy pasted that bullshit from somewhere???
but even if you did...
you'd have to be a little slow if you actually think thats how promotions work.
1st off... you failed to mention the "cost price" of anything at all, which is ridiculous because you can't determine profit without knowing the cost.
the "promotion price" you listed is just the "difference" between the regular price and the "promotion price". It doesn't reflect the cost of the product.
you are only assuming the value of the product is "equal to" the promotion price.
for all you know little ceasars is paying 4$ per pizza or maybe even less.
plus you gotta take in factors like what wizdumb mentioned.
ya gotta wash that shit down with something...
when was the last time you saw drinks or fries on sale at mcdo?
so lets look at it in "layman's terms" AKA "raver terms"...
try to look at it like a gay rave party with a shit budget.
sure flyers cost money... let say 100$
and so does the talent, staff, equipment and the venue... say $1500...
your lucky if you break even at the door charging $10... lets say you loose at the door and only pull in $1200... lets call this $400 loss your "promotional price"
but your also charging 5 bucks for a bottle of watter or 6 for a redbull...
and sell 50 of each bringing in $600 dollars...
and you got a guy on the floor selling 20$ speeds and $5 blow jobs who pulls in $600 bucks.
this IS NOT YOUR PROFIT until you calculate "cost".
$0.25 for each water bottle.
$1.00 for each redbull
and lets you split the bank down the middle for cost, distribution & felatio of the narcotics.
so even though you pissed away $300 at the door...
you still walk away with a few hundred bucks in your pocket providing you don't have to much over stock left over from the water and red bulls.
which could also later turn out to be more profit as well if you sell it to the guy throwing the party next week....
but yeah...
my point being...
your not very smart.
=P
I'm feeling republican right now..

lol murdock...its a copy paste job from an article on CNN. For the cheeseburger, the pre-promotion price is 1.5 and the promotion price is 1. The profit line is 0.06, so its obvious I didnt subtract one from the other.
Theres no breakdown in the article, but the article stated bottom-line...which is after all costs - both fixed and variable. And its from the point of view of the franchise owner I think, not the corporation.

And yes, thats the idea of a promotion - you come for the burger and end up buying fries and a drink. But some people like me just buy the burger. Actually a lot of my friends do that...fuck fries and a drink - 2$ for a fountain soda? Do I look like Im made out of money?

Is he (or the character he plays on CNN) a racist? Or does he just really dislike illegal immigrants because they're breaking the law and having adverse effects on the lower and lower-middle class of american workers?

Ive never been able to figure it out

i think he's a blatant racist but tries to cover it up as actual fact (somehow or at least in his mind) that and apparently all of the US's problems is due solely to blame on mexicans all make his show downright hilarious
