UK Hardcore was a term brought on in the early 2000s when hardcore producers decided they got sick of the negative association brought on by the term "happy hardcore" It's still the same music (though it has evolved over the years) Then of course there are UK producers who make a completely different style of hardcore (Teknoist, Hellfish, etc), and calling that UK hardcore would also be accurate. |
