i mean the whole structure the program depends on . normally whats in /system /system32 and registry
try to dump an original dvd, then try to burn it. if you cant dump > lense / cable / driver problem to be shure its not a driver problem you boot with a " live cd " say linux backtrack. if it boot , youll have to reinstall windows. way easyer than runnin with a damaged structure. if you can dump . try to reburn the iso on ablank if you get errors, prolly your combo drive has again a driver problem (,1%) you could boot linux and try to burn from there. if you can , reinstall windows. if you cant on both occasion , the lense could have died on you (the glue dried and gas escaped), or the cable moved by a hit. or basically any physical damage. i personnaly encountered spywares that simulated a breakdown , this is why a live version of linux (live cd) get usefull oh and booting linux off a usb key would spare your drive and you could try to burn from there. | |

it`s fixed, I just had to clean the lense
Dynv`s expert advice wasn`t of any use to anyone in the end, maybe I should be nice to his mom and give her the old sasiche down her tonsils ;) |
