Yeah, who cares about letting people choose, fuck em, what is this a free society? There's a lot more french people, so french people should get to choose what non-french people do.

Yup,
Its called majority rule, its like that all over the world last time I checked Try moving to Japan and tell them to stop "requiring" immigrants to learn Japanese because you want to live and study in Spanish, See what they say

FYI, in japan, there are no such language laws forcing immigrant students to learn go to school in Japanese.
Also, the standard curriculum includes many different English classes..

neoform:
why do you think those laws exist? who do you think voted or militated for those laws? before those laws took place can you describe to me what was the average opportunity and rights for the majority submissive french speaker in canada and quebec? before those laws took place can you descibe to me what was the average opportunity and rights for the minority dominant english speaker in canada and quebec? do some research and think about it dude. now if you are still on your same position i might think you are some kind of fascist or that you have a psychological complex or that your mother didn't love you enough creating some sort of self hatred or you have been indoctrinated by an important figure in your formative life or you read the very wrong books or you never travelled around the world or you just discovered libertarianism or or or.. if you love quebec like you said, you would love the french quebecoise culture and the heritage of our history. on a sociological or psychological perspective i still cannot pin point if your ordeal is a trouble or an issue. well you certainly doesn't make me cry when you talk about your "freedom" and "choice" and "rights" and "privileges" (can you at least make the distinction between these 2 last concept?)... simple: i really don't care about what language you talk at home. i'm very for a secular society. i see language the same way as religion. at home you can talk chinese all the fuck you want for what i care.. and you can pray like fucking jesus.. i don't mind... but in quebec the official language is french. and catholic religion is not suppose to intervene in politic matters no more. that's the status quo dude. if you want to change that you need to change the legislature ok? and if you feel your right as a english canadian quebecois man are threatened i suggest you to go fill the form and build a case and find justice. you make me think of those americans:"i'm really for the irak war!" type... awww yeah so you are for that war? so what are you doing here man in america? where's your gun? where's your pumps? neoform seriously you sound little lame and it's been years you talk about the matters and argue.. and you don't do shit nothing about it.

Fine, I copied it and pasted it into another window so it was readable. I'm not going to do that again though.
My response: You want me to comment on the poor conditions that french Quebecers faced in the past, yes, it was bad and shouldn't have gone down like that, but the response has been to completely reverse the rules. now it's the English that are being pushed down and forced to abide. You say "but in quebec the official language is french", wanna tell me why? Because most Quebecers speak French? I could easily fire back "Yeah, and most people in Canada, let alone North America speak English". But you've decided that the arbitrary line around Quebec means something. Quebec is a province of a larger country. I see no reason why I should be a second class citizen because I've taken a liking to the language of this country's majority. I'm perfectly capable of conducting my life in French. I couldn't care less if you think it's a "French Province" because it's not, it's multicultural, that's what Quebec's heritage is. "that's the status quo dude." Well shit, I guess that's your way of saying "Tough Shit", well guess what.. it's tough shit for you, North America has more than 330 million English speaking people and less than 7 million French.. that's the status quo. You want to shit on minorities, I can do that too. "and if you feel your right as a english canadian quebecois man are threatened i suggest you to go fill the form and build a case and find justice." Yeah, cause our all French Quebec court system would surely give me justice. Right? "you make me think of those americans:"i'm really for the irak war!" type... awww yeah so you are for that war? so what are you doing here man in america? where's your gun? where's your pumps?" Fuck you. You don't even live here and you're talking down to me, you're less of a Quebecer than I am.

L'anglo lui repond damn right you've heard. Le comis l'invite poliment a aller remplir sa voiture ailleur en francais. L'anglo lui repond alors: "It's Canada here, speak english you fucking frog" et quite le couche-tard.

I can't count the number of times the exact opposite has happened to me where someone demanded I speak to them in French when I spoke to them in English, but I guess it's ok then, because after all.. "this is Quebec", right? If an English guy acts like that, he's an asshole. But what does that change?
