I once had a disagreement on a similar subject and got medieval on him, he reacted like a wimp so I don't think those people are to be taken seriously, they're just trying to be funny or blurt out something "new".

And then theyre ungrateful of the welfare they recieve because they always want to seperate from Canada i used to work on the phone all night , and received lots of albertan phone ( its illegal to telemarket them ) and honestly they were the most sympathic relish speaking people ( its a joke come on) but really after getting all harrassed up by the mean ontarian attitude then manitoban' werent better ( still had prejudices about anything quebec , if id let them pickup my accent it was OVER ) but as soon as the day crossed the prairies , speaking with albertans that just finished their days was a releif, they were really polite , and could probably make a cute comment about how they apreciated quebec's kindness , and probably "make a joke about the tint of accent they pickup" sometimes it just slip tru, and they said : " your way better than ontario . we know just because of how you guys seem enjoying life. " or something along that line so that being said, i think they are influenced much by the fast paced ontario bash it all angry mood. since ontario is in between right ? and we all remember UPPER / LOWER canada in our history courses. this war never really ended , their pissed for not having all the french womens , and their stuck with the brit lineage :) still joking but really i think all this mad talk is about misseducation / missinterpretaion / missinformation christ i even tought racism was over , till last summer i hear a few rooted quebekerz yelled " retourn dan ton ostie dpays avec ton depanneur " to the obvious... i mean i was sent back to 1987 right at that instant. i dunno whats with people teaming up together on these mindless issues . jackasses everywhere . ill be shure to tell them a proper innovative "diss" , count on me. something along " shitfuck light up and contribute to society instead of being a hitlernatzi flashback " ... or something :>

There are a lot of misconceptions about Quebec in the rest of Canada
Which is really unfortunate because the Quebecois are mad cool and way chiller than Anglo-Canadians The Anglophones could actually learn A LOT from the Francophones if only they stopped being so fucking condescending all the time and opened their minds The best thing is not to answer stupid insults with insults though, it dosen't resolve anything Just rest assured that coming from Alberta is nothing to brag about, it really isn't

There are douche-bags and chill dudes in all provinces and cities. Thats just life. Stereotyping is wrong. Originally Posted By BLISSS

Seriously though, every province and region has an identity some of it good, some of it bad. Most of them are bullshit, except when people start to beleive they are the identity of where they are from. You couldnt imagine the number of huge douche-bag Quebecers Ive met (identity - quebecors are chill).

The whole world is theres for the taking cus everyone else is inferior to them. If it wasnt for American Oil company s, Alberta would barely be on the map. And in 10 years when they have no more water to drink (cus the whole province will have become a huge cesspool of toxic sludge) where will they turn? I think it best to let the haters fester on there own, they are only demonstrating how stupid they realy are.

This argument is as divisive as the assholes saying they hate Quebec. Stop fueling the fire.

Quebec did not build itself on hydro power alone, it did with the fur trade, then logging, then manufacturing (witch has all since gone to china and mexico). Hydro has been a factor, but so has pork, aluminum and believe it or not culture. So comparing Quebec s diverse economy to Alberta s one trick pony is quite misleading. Besides Hydro Quebec belongs to Quebec whereas the oil in Alberta belongs to whoever is exploiting it, the Americans.

Okay so I just read the messages on the walls of three of these "Quebec Sucks" groups. The general message across these groups were just that they hate Quebec because they can't stand french people. And most of these people live in provinces where french is not taught, or if it is, is taught poorly.
Actually, what surprised me was all the posts from people living here withing Quebec saying how much they hate it and shit. Somebody please just pipe up and tell the whiny bitch that is he hates it so much, just fkn move already. Problem solved.

Who here likes playing video-games in french?
Well, you're about to not be given the choice. Sale of English-only video games prohibited if French version exists Andrew Chung MONTREAL – In Lara Croft's latest action adventure, part of the wildly popular Tomb Raider video game series, the lithe heroine can demand of her evil doppelganger either, "What the hell are you?" or, "Qu'est-ce que tu es, exactement?" And that's exactly the way Quebec wants it, from now on. French language rules on video games come into force today prohibiting the sale of new English-only video games in Quebec if a French version is available. It's causing a lot of consternation among retailers and gamers alike, who fear the rules will lead to delays in video games arriving in the province, and may not accomplish what the law intends, which is to promote and protect the French language. Ronnie Rondeau, co-owner of the eight Game Buzz stores around Montreal, said he even fears bankruptcy. "I'm afraid it's going to cost me my business," Rondeau said. "If it really was going to make a difference, I'd be for it, but only a small number of people want to play in French. The rest don't care. "And money-wise, it's going to hurt." Rondeau said gamers are notorious for wanting new games the minute they come out. It's why he has had numerous midnight sales with lines stretching around the block. It's why he even carries Japanese games that won't be available in English for months. If there's a delay of even a few days, they'll find other options, such as buying online or across the border. Raffy Boudjikanian, who writes a gaming column for the West Island Chronicle, agrees. "Why am I going to wait for five more months when the next big game is right there in Plattsburg?" Rondeau cites the example of the popular Rockband game. The distributor didn't ship the English-only version for the Christmas rush, and a French version didn't arrive for six weeks. Delays can happen because translation can lead to game "bugs," such as text not fitting into graphic boxes on screen, said Haig James Toutikian, a professional Montreal game designer, who has dealt with such bugs, which can cause a game to underperform. "I know how much of a pain they can be," Toutikian said. "They take up a lot of bug-tracking time." Toutikian, who said he has friends who learned English playing video games, added, "I don't think it will encourage people to buy the French version." In the past, technical aspects, such as different game console versions sold in North America versus Europe, prevented even games released in France from appearing in Quebec. The result was that Quebec had mostly English games available. The gaming industry adopted deadlines to comply with the province's language charter and the "language police," the Office québécois de la langue française. Danielle Parr, executive director of the Entertainment Software Association of Canada, said that because of the population size, it's possible a game publisher will decide it's too costly to release a French version for Quebec even if it has one for France, thus depriving the province of its game in either language. But overall, she said, "they will see more games available in French. And that's good news."
