What Do U Think?

the problem with house vocals is that they are cheesy as fuck, and half the time they talk about love or music or dancing, as if you need to tell me i'm listening to music and should be dancing.
vocals in electronic music in general is fine, as long as they're appropriate. instead, we get high pitched corny ass shit (sorry HHC fans :P ), not to mention that that's been done to death...i would like to hear some metal type vocals in hardcore (i'm working on getting some for a track or two, but recording that is a big project). Besides, there are always short vocal samples in techno, and that's good enough :) --> haha! you don't appreciate the human voice - wtf...you should've replied: true, so STFU!

well i'm not into the OOooOoOooOoOOoO type of big deployment vocals but i do vocals/rap/shout/ i don't know how to call it in music and for sure i think it sounds great!!! i suppose it depends on taste..
also if the lyrics have a strong message you must expect that's not everybody who gonna feel the same about it.. anyhow peeps who come to rewire are going to know what i mean hehe ;)

you are all talking about vocals
and i think why i hate electronic music is because of the cheezy and repetitive vocals you know, that high chick voice? can't stand it Update » Daf wrote on Mon Mar 30, 2009 @ 2:35pm and by high voice, im mean too high, like not natural high

Tho, if you are in a trainwreck, the phaser won't cover that, it will still sound like shit. I use the phaser like 1 mix out of 5 on average. On that short footage, you can see me using it while going to a track to another. The render was pretty good.

c'est ca, bien utiliser ca peu etre cool, mais le probleme c'est que ca phase la track au complet...t'as tu deja entendu une artiste faire un track qui a un phaser par dessus tout les sons? non, ou presque pas, parce que c'est whack! ;)

maybe i'm just too traditionalist, but i never use mixer effects, or CDJ effects...EQ only.
i beatmatch the tunes, EQ 'em right, have some fun with the fader, and let the tracks do their thing :) (but theres nothing wrong with ppl who fuck around w/ the effects, as long as it's done right, of course)

Grabs the last little bit (bar/half-bar/1/4 bar depending on how you've got it set) and loops it on beat.. Really fuckin' cool :P

Armand Van Helden - I want your soul Roy Davis Jr. - Gabrielle Stardust - Music sounds better with you These are some of my favourite House tracks with vocals. Rather commercial, I know, but classic none the less. And Mark Farina is an amazing producer IMO.
