BANGKOK – A Thai firefighter dressed as Spiderman to rescue an autistic boy who climbed onto a third-floor balcony and dangled his legs over the side because he was nervous on his first day of school.

Firefighter Somchai Yoosabai was called in after the 11-year-old boy's teachers and mother failed to coax him off the ledge Monday, he said in a telephone interview today.

"He was nervous about the first day at school, and he was asking for his mother," Somchai said. "He cried and refused to let any of us get close to him."

Overhearing a conversation between the boy's mother and his teachers about his love for comics and superheroes, Somchai rushed back to the fire station to change into a Spiderman costume before swinging into action.

"I told him Spiderman is here to save you. No monster will hurt you now," Somchai said. "Then I told him to walk slowly toward me. I was very nervous that he might have slipped if he got too excited and ran."

Somchai, who keeps costume of Spiderman and a Japanese superhero called Ultraman to liven up fire drills at schools, said the teary-eyed boy broke into a smile and started walking into his arms.

If it had been Italian Spiderman, he would have just kicked the shit out of the fire while having a smoke, then thrown the kid out the window.

If it was an iraqi Spiderman, he would have said he has no webs, and waited for the americans to bomb the boy's apartment building. When the americans finally capture this iraqi spiderman, they will figure out he actually does have no webs.

If it was a greek spiderman he would have had a very large party to celebrate his heroism that features a roterissie pig as the main dish. Later he would have fucked the boy up the ass.
I'm feeling apathetic right now..

If it was a German Spiderman he'd have blamed the burning of the building on his political enemies and then said that the child actually never existed.

Russian Spiderman however would have fired artillery from the Potemkin, killing all the onlookers and especially the grieving mother, then erased all mention of the incident from the records, replacing it with the burning of a Tsarist monument and saying that this was the day the tides turned. The kid? Exiled to Siberia.
I'm feeling mighty frisky right now..

A Kazakhstan-ian spiderman would have heroicly saved the boy. He would have then thrown the boy down the well so his country could be free.

An Australian Spiderman would have either done what the German Spiderman did and said it was Germany's idea or locked the kid in the basement after saving him and then forced him to make babies and dinner for 25 years.
