whiiiiiiiiiiiiiiite suqare!hehe
i don't watch television so the only stuff i see is this kind of stuff online..even at cnn which is liked and watched by democrats the cover of news and opinion shows seems lamentable... i swear we quebecois and quebec are so special. even if i attend a pretty liberal university i really feel so different and with different values... stuff that i was taking totally for granted when i grow up and live in quebec because it was the normative dominant ambiance after the quiet revolution...! it's in the constitution that the country must be secular and that everyone can have the freedom of choice in their personal life... i love the constitution.. i love the fact that "my country of adoption " is based on such amazing text... but each time i read it and i look at history i realized that it never had been applied... it's still pretty much amazed me how this country was built on interesting revolutionaries ideologies and now just became an other arrogant and destructive empire! there;s an internal war in america/// people who wants a secular politic system and people who doesn't want that... you know the people who gave fucking $ for proposition 8!i'm a strong gay rights supporters and i'm so discouraged by the arguments giving to me by those same people. :( (btw liked the last gus van sant "milk"!) i meet some people who are so indoctrinated(but they can't even talk about the history of their own religion because misinformed or uneducated..)... some of them can even react aggressively to me because i'm just there bothering no one but talking about the fact that i'm agnostic and that my parents are atheists.. that where i come from it's not a big deal if you don't get married to church or even go to church or believe in god... that in canada gay rights are recognized now... you should see the face of these people when i tell them that i don't have a religion.. haha some of them are genuinely sad and think i'm going to burn in hell...bhouhouhou or the propaganda in my economics textbook?! i'm not stupid i know the equilibrium wage and calcul of p x q and that adam smith is oh! so right in his theories..(yeah rights go tell that to the majority of this world whose starving to death..!) will always be the same in economics capitalist theories books... but do i really need to have right at the 10th page of the book a picture of the women in north korean army with the quotation:"what those women are doing in their spare time, dangerous things..blabla bullshit..*sigh*>?" relating to the topic of why the usa have such an enormous defense/military budget!!!wow... seriously! you know i could spare those details and just learn the theory thank you. luckily like he said it is far from being every americans whose brainwashed or indoctrinated but i really do feel that if you wanna be honest it is the norm or the major/mass currant.. even obama needs to put all the time god this or god that in his address to the nation... it's frightening/// i'm so not going to be surprised the day that i ear a weird noise from my house and that i run outside and see a huge fucking bomb coming at my face.... you know 9/11 style.:( it's make me sad b/c i really do love this country and still have hope. but majority of people needs to really wake the fuck up! sorry very sorry for the colorful vomit rant yo

*cough* i live in the states since 4 years, traveled around major cities and the most secluded area... and i can attest that it is very very untrue what you just stated. in majority of case people react very positively to the fact that i'm from canada, quebec, montreal dude Update » Holly_Golightly wrote on Fri Mar 20, 2009 @ 1:09pm but yeah some of them are very secluded in their area so they are not used to foreigners.. and don't get where my accent is from.. i already got some people being rude and racist with me.. but they didn't know i was canadian.. but this is happening few time over a million of interactions i had with american people// and it is more related to the fear of something stranger than your own self than the canada thing.
