I am Mr Aloysius, I've in my bank deal worth $26m to transact with you. Reply for more details. Best regards,Aloysius H Y Tse.Director/Audit CommitteeWing Hang Bank (Hong Kong).

back in like 97, some weird foreign number showed up on my pager .. I looked up the area code and it was Dominican Republic... I had heard about scams originating from that country so I knew what was up

what they do is page somebody, and the person calls this strange number, wondering who the hell is trying to get a hold of them.

the person who answers tells them it is a hospital and they have a relative of theirs who has had a very serious accident, and then ask them to hold. after keeping them on hold for 20 minutes or so, they come back online and tell them it has been a mistake - wrong person - and they hang up.

then, when the person gets their phone bill, they find out the number they called was charging them some outrageous fee per minute - directly into the scam artist's pocket.

scumbags. unfortunately some people are gullible enough to fall for these scams. if they spam a few million people, there will be a few shmucks who fall for it, and get parted from their money

i remember this one now you typed it. 1=900 scams can be contested now, it could still be done thou, but the phone co doesnt deal kindly to such abuse anymore. in the 80s and 90 lots of theses scam could be done locally . ppl made LOTS of cash from that back then

> it made me laugh that your version is cryptically simple , has this buisness tone to it.

mine is like theire crying for a fake passport. i mean .no yea thats what i mean ;p plus hes keeping 10.5 million from the original 26 million i think .

we should invent one , were all getting pro at bullshit detection.
I'm feeling 4hz even if you dont right now..
