Need Your Help - Stm Fine

I am a full time student but i don't qualify for the reduced pricing because i'm 27 and it applies only to people under 25. I was caught using a student pass and issued a fine for 424 $.

I really can't afford the fine and need to find a way out of it. My plan is to contest the ticket and claim that i had actually had a valid adult pass but unknowingly used the student pass( old school swipe card ) which i had found at school by mistake. I suffer from pretty bad anxiety for which i can get a doctor i have been seing over 3 years to corroborate. The only thing i need is a adult pass so i can just scan it and send it with my other documents to show that i did have a valid adult pass but because of my anxiety, i was unable to explain my situation to the STM officer.

So what i'm asking for, is that if anyone has the old school adult passes ( non opus ) for the month of march , if they could scan it for me.

I know i broke the rules but i think the rules are unfair expecting that once you are over 25 , despite being a student, that you all of a suden have more money to contribute to their shitty service. If anyone has any advice on how to get out of this , that would be helpfull.

thanks in advance,

STM passes are tax deductibles, first of all.

Secondly, you're asking someone to break the law in a community commonly checked up by the police.

Bravo. A winner is you!

How about trying to stop screwing the system? People like you raise the STM fares.
I'm feeling repomanish right now..

posting a link to a picture of a pass is not illegal. Spare me your moral bullshit. I admitted i broke the law. I also mentioned i cannot afford the adult pass as i am a full time student. And i really don't know why you are mentioning things being tax deductible. I don't pay enough taxes for the actual deductible to amount to anything substantial.

It's not bullshit. The fact that you see it as bullshit is proof enough that you're a tard. :D

And Kishmay, it's not my pic but I think so too. I had a mainnecoon and it was pretty similar.

Will they issue an arrest warant if you ignore a fine ?
Would they do something for 500$ ?

they will issue warnings, they will try to garnish your wages, they will eventually send the bailiff to your door, they will get their money.

Oh wait there are real cops in the metro, your name may just get put in the system, and you could go to jail for an unpaid fine somewhere further down the line. that $454 fine will more than quadruple the longer you let it go

And the law has since changed in Quebec, there is no longer a question of just serving the time to pay off the fine, they xwill put you in jail, and you will still have your debt when you get out.

Do what Basdini said, claim poverty and you can't pay it, try to get it reduced, and then do the community service.

Do yourself a favour, go to craigslist, and spend $50 on a bicycle

The STM fines are actual legal citations. They do not operate like a company.

hum, if you kick an homeless person in the balls, it's illegal, maybe you'll get away with it a few times, but you'll end up getting caught and then you'll have to - pay - . If you do get caught for being a homeless people's balls serial kicker, well, you can always plead insanity but woa, you'll have to pay a lawyer, do 190384 things to get the shit done and all...

The other option is to simply not kick homeless people in the balls. That's what i do. And believe it or not it works, i never had a fine or shit. I'm not kidding.
I'm feeling positif right now..

I actually saw a girl getting arrested at Laurier metro for jumping the turnstile

2 plain clothes cops, they threw her on the ground, I was like what the fuck guys, so I went up and started yelling at them

Thats when the guy pulled a badge and pointed a can of mace at me
I'm feeling like the good guy right now..
