I'm not sure what kind of work you do, but I found that in my case, it is best to hustle.
The jobs with call-ins kind of suck balls, it's good to work out a deal with some kind of minimum hours if they want you to be on retainer all the time.

It's pretty easy to get a job in montreal man...I mean all you need is a good resume...and if u don't have a good one then well...that's your own fault.

Not necessarily, if have a solid CV and show a no-bullshit professional attitude in the interview, you still have a good shot. That's how I got my current job, and when they hired me I had NO experience whatsoever. I was upfront and professional, and they hired me anyway.

People prefer experienced workers though, they prefer people who have had a grasp on certain things so they don't need to train you for longer, trust me, it helps. Even if it means you worked at 10 coffee shops and 5 restaurants for a month each, you'll have an easier chance getting a job in those fields if you keep plugging at it, cause you've been trained before.
