it's a great show. .. sometimes they been accused to debunk their episod subject by exposing only facts going in the sens of their position..
some parts of usa is so sick. so primitive. but in the present status quo economic system (capitalist) we need those kind of peeps who support that type of ideology.. for the basics economics to work in usa there's a need of a minimum of 4% of unemployment/ the country need extreme poverty people if the mass can experiment a form of stability and richness. it is so sad.. these people have been forgotten. and during that time we just prefer called them lazy ass white trash hillbillies dirty Appalachians or what not?! so sad. so unfair. i piss on those motherfucking churches and peeps who makes their $ and gain political power on the shoulder of the one who are sacrifice for the "good" of the nation.

thnx for that databoy...i watched all 3 parts.
But, creationists frustrate the shit outta me. like Neko, i was also yelling at the 'puter screen, like "hahaha - what the fuck are you talking about?"... They have no idea how lost they are, and how weak their arguments are...argh. There's also a huge right-wing religious movement against Atheism too, with all the usual propaganda attached. If you're interested in these things, and enjoy being shocked at how lame these people are, check out Jesus Camp. And for a laugh, there's also Mr. Deity, find it on youtube, poking fun at god and his 6 day creation... .. . (the grand canyons created in a matter of days 'cause of a flood - pfffwahahahaa!)

In that societal structure they couldn't be any better...(oups that's judgmental..i meant any different..) in other words a lots of those peeps don't know any better. They internalized the cultures of their family and then of their village and society... ..ect ps: what makes us human or what we are is far from being a simple adn pattern....hehe

Love that video.. Of course, the fun part about all this is that soon it may be illegal.
(obviously this news-clip is very US-centric, but ANY country that's in the UN will be pressured to adopt these laws)

Man, I love Penn & Teller. I have pretty much everything they've done. They're just awesome entertainers.
About Bullshit!, Penn stated that sometimes, they find out facts after the show's been aired, which would change their stance on whatever subject they discussed. They can't go back to edit them but promised that the last ever Bullshit! show would be "Bullshit on Bullshit!", which will show the stuff they were wrong about :D

Some of their arguments are a little bit off, even though very persuasive. For instance in the recycling episode they have an argument something like this: Recycling isn't worthwhile and is a waste of money. If it was worthwhile people would be able to make money off it. Thus, because this isnt happening, it must be that recycling is inefficient. Its a basic economic argument for private goods. They go one to imply that the only reason many forms of recycling exists is because stupid lobby groups and hippes have gotten to the gov't and inside good peoples' heads.
However, the argument is invalid because recycling is not a private good; its a public one. Recycling is an activity that gives people who do not participate benefits. Thus, even if no one is in the recycling business, it may still be efficient from a social point of view. Thus, it makes sense to subsidize it or have the gov't in the recycling business.

Hmm, strange. The way I seem to recall their recycling episode was more about "recycling costs us more money than producing new material."
As in, a drastic but potable idea would be to use the trash for landfill emissions (fuel) while keeping the recycling money for research to find newer, better ways to save the world, as recycling indeed fails most of the time. One just need to be reminded of the gare centrale fiasco here in Montreal to know that cities don't really care. (they were trashing the recyclables). That's their opinion, of course. I don't know where I stand.

ueh,. gamos , garbage are private goods now.
jump to the italian situation . the problem is that this field is even more crooked than juliani. there is no money in there because they ripps it from gov fund, then when there arent anymore unless your implanted there is no way to start that type of buisness, while other implated still make profits from material sold afterwars. nowadays even an unsorted wastefield is usefull for the fats cat.
