i didn't really see or ear anybody else call him like that.. i translate it because as a figurative way of writing it i added layer...etc americans and english canadians do it too.. simple example is with my first name... sometimes they just forget to understand the meaning of my first name and just put it up in their language.. which doesn't bother me much im pretty chill. i don't know what you are talking about when you say that us french speakers do it particulary, i think that in all diffusion (that's the term in history to talk about when 2 or many cultures have a fusion or in case of assimilation etc..) of culture that phenomena happen in language(wich is one of the 2 components of what is human culture) .. it's one of the 3 way a culture can change in a society at a precise point in time... think about it. |
