This is just a theory, but I think Booger first coined the term in "Revenge of The Nerds". If you didn't know what a douchebag was before, look at the guy on the bike and think of any sort of behaviour that is similar. This is the loosely-defined but nebulous zone known as "douchebag" which the average North American teen-to-thirtysomething somehow understands implicitly.
