WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Pentagon officials lashed out Monday at the "deadly deception" of the Iraqi regime on the battlefield, saying that Iraqi troops are engaged in "serious violations of the laws of war" by falsely indicating their willingness to surrender or by fighting U.S. and allied troops in civilian clothes.
------------------------------------------------ The US Now Claims They Control THE LAWS OF WAR hahahahaha... What's next... |

i just wanna say this,
the peace demonstrations are supercool, only thing is some people have decided its right to burn the american flag, this is a really really dangerous act, which can lead to more riots and more violent behaviors such as we see in jordan, egypt, syria, etc... people should really fight this trend cuz its not cool at all, no matter what you believe, its incredibly destructive (to your own peaceful demo/cause), disrespectful and wrong to burn flags... |

Flags are fabric. Flags are a symbol of something that is important to a lot of people. I see no better way of telling someone "Fuck you, I hate what you stand for" than burning something important to them.
And standing around and blocking trafic for a few hours does nothing but iritate people anyways. You wanna make a diffrence, take action. Stand up for what you believe in instead of standing around waiting for change to come. Everyone bitches about something but they do nothing to help. Hell, I'd LOVE to see a REAL protest on sending troops overseas. Let's see all those who oppose the war not go in to work for a week. The govt. can't make money if they aren't stealing it from the people's paychecks. Let's see what happens when people finally say "Enough is enough, we won't help you any longer" instead of "I took a day off work to block trafic and wave cardboard around" |

theres much more viable ways to protest than to put everyone down in 1 shot by burning their flag
boycotts, not spending $ thats the most effective way, cuz well we re all just #s and cash for the man sorry but i see flag burnin as savage, aggressive, regressive(counter productive), weak, repressive and most importantly ignorant i would think the main goal of protesting is to gain respect without disrespecting the other views...flag burnin just kills that notion... |

along with cash boycotts (fucking with the economy)
i would say knowledge is the best weapon not force aka shock and awe (ie. burnin flags) knowledge is g-d |

Benj ; wisely said ....
Valérie had that idea , non-war related thought, for a protest act ; She wants to stick up to the Olympic stadium a giant banner that says ; -The earth is not dying, its getting murdered- |

if you burn an american flag, what your basically saying is that you advocate destroying american by force |

someone in canada won an auction on ebay, but the seller refused to ship it to him because he was a canadian, and the seller wrote "if you're not with us, you're against us"..
that saying brings on the stupidest mentality you can possibly have. |

an american who is very pro-war told me that i was: uninformed, ignorant, unread, a hypocrite and pathetic because i am canadian. she then said this,
"To accuse of someone as intelligent as Bush and his administration for committing acts on their behalf (the Iraqis), rather than for the US and the world as we elected him to, is a stupid sorry excuse to win a debate." haahahahaha |
