Okay so I'm a musician.. but don't know much about the programs
I'm willing to pay a (shared :P) 12pack a week to learn the basics of Fruity Loops and any other program that could help me creating and mastering a song. I'm not that much into sampling, not at all actually.. I create from scratch, already have 50+ songs ideas but can't get anywhere with it cause I suck so much with the appz Anyone has time to spare for someone who will learn fast, take notes and do her best to master YOUR SKILLS?? :P BTW I'm mostly into DnB and Breaks, your place or mine whatev ;) Update » PaLy wrote on Fri Feb 13, 2009 @ 11:17pm I'm a bass and piano player, so if you need lessons I'll be more than happy to share my knowledge ;)

i love Fruity Loops, and i'm not too busy during the week...i could definitely show you some stuff.
you should learn Cubase too, but i also need to pick that up; maybe learn that together if no one else can show you... PM if you're interested!

quand tu dit que t'est pas dans le sampling? tu veut dire que tu veut pas sampler des choses deja faite, ou que tu veut pas travailler avec des samples?

yeah layering stuff always works great.. But I'm a perfectionist when it comes to any sound I want.. I've already got something like 15 gigs of drums before getting the Drums From Hell pack..

holy shit Fred, you have to send me some kicks, somehow...(maybe only, like, 5 gigs worth :P)
i look for ind. kick samples all the time and never really find any packs...everyone has stupid fuckin' loops... .. . (you can never have too many kicks)

heh man, you're gonna want the whole thing, trust me..
[ www.toontrack.com ] Like you can make your own drum-kit using the VST that comes with the samples; chose the brand and size of your snares, kicks, toms, etc.. It's all individual recorded hits.. And like snare hits will occasionally pull out a different random one to make it sound more like a real drummer hitting the snare differently.. This thing is fucking amazing..

well the whole thing is in RAR archives that are about 2-gigs each.. which is still pretty much your download limit in one shot.. I can put it on some DVDs!

oh i only use cubase and swear by it.
i just didn't make sense :) there's just some kind of taboo or something about cubase that it's hard and complex, but really it only takes a few hours to know most of the main features. i think a lot of people are simply scared of messing around with it! |

Update » Deadfunk wrote on Sun Feb 15, 2009 @ 3:00am ohhh, and everything that is 100% or almost, midi-based, its Digital performer 5 or 6
cubase is good, but it isnt "better" than fruity or reason or any other DAW. they all have their strength and weaknesses. cubase isnt hard, like any other daw, its just getting used with it! my moto: Its now what you use, its HOW you use it!
