The fans at the Centre Bell threw themselves on Lapierre's goals like people spending days in the desert and finding a water bottle. Firing Carbonneau did shit all, Gainey didn't even more a muscle behind the bench, much less look concerned at his club's flagrant ineffectiveness, aaaaaaaaand we lost against the Maple Leafs. A 80 000$ base salary. Players get their full (miltimilion$$$$) salary at the end of the season; Frontline players get payed according to how many points they make during the season; Defense gets payed according to how many goals get scored in their time on the ice Goalies on the ratio of games won/goals stopped/blanchissages. No 5-year contracts, players would be forced to work if they really want a huge salary! They'd work something on their own and put pressure if a player slacks too much - cause their salary would depend on the other players. No chance of any "bébé gâté" behaviour like that! |
