I think it has more to do with the fact they're so divided racially in the US For a lot Americans who have been used to seeing everything in black and white (literally) can't yet come to terms with the concept that someone who is a marriage of both colours can actually be their president Its too much for their brains to handle I love Obama, he happened for a reason |

if people want to say he's the 1st black president out of pride...who gives a shit if people want to say he's the 1st beige president, 'cause of biology...who gives a shit if people want to see him as a color rather than a human, i give a shit. Once people stop seeing skin color as a defining characteristic, the world will be a better place. And, you can still be proud of your culture and history, no matter what the pigmentation of your epidermis is. But people love labeling things, and putting them in categories. So, we have people discussing a man's color, instead of a man's accomplishments. (this is exactly the opinion that got me into trouble, for some reason, like 9 months ago, and apparently merited a barrage of shit and degradation, from 1 person...don't know why that 1 person always brings up 'race' as a topic if they can't bear to face simple concepts) yes yes, i should abstain from posting, like should have 9 months ago, but some things are more important than not risking the consequences. |
