so i just got a couple of jesus ppl and i got all over exited and invited them in to enlighten me... it was wierd... they got all creeped out and ran away!!! i don't see why? i was very polite and even offered them beer!!! =( |

 Coolness: 94400 | im unemployed too. THis is like that first time you start working all over again. No one hires you w/o experience. Except this time its worse because you're getting passed up by the people who are obviously less abled to the work.
All those entry level internships go to people with "experience" or people with connections. Its retarded. The only reason those people with experience and connections are applying for internships is because they were way too fucking low skilled to get a real job even with the leg up; so theyre applying for a summer job. But yet they still get all the jobs. I dont understand why the fuck you would offer internships to those who have already been cut from the team rather than offer some fresh blood a chance. The worst part of all tho is that as much as "neutral commentators" might call our world a meritocracy, it is quite the opposite. You can work as hard as you want in school, but unless you know someone (aka are already rich) you're not getting an interview. So the connected, the rich, and the powerful get all the "breaks"; Eventually all that private schooling, private tutors, and using daddy to get placements pays off. Im starting to understand how people become jaded. PLUR |
