Thats one of things about toronto; this kids take their kandi making seriously. Theyre so hardcore about it. The way one of my friends explained to me was that each piece is like a piece of art, and people see them, and go "woah" and it makes people so happy to see such amazing happy, so it makes him happy to make such amazing kandi |

The last one inspires me to make a Candy Christmas Reef. Or a Candy Dream Catcher... Or something equally silly. The only one that I really like out of the bunch is the 4th from the top. It reminds me of my favourite TV show from when I was a kid... 
Not but seriously, those days were fun. I remember we would bring in these big ass buckets of beads and strings, and all the girls worked like doped up sweat shop slaves making us bracelets all night. Good times. |

I seriously think most candies go WAYYYYYYYY overboard on this shit... When 75% of your arms are covered in multicolored bracelets you're not only unoriginal but ridiculously tacky. A lot of the candy kids have nice original suits/kits which is all good, but the vast majority, at least to me, look like unicorns on crack with too much time on their hands. That last bracelet is a prime example of going WAY overboard to try to look cool to their peers. |
