Coffee

I realize almost every morning just how much coffee I drink in the average morning, and I'm wondering if other people have similar habits.
I make roughly 2-3 cups of espresso with a stovetop machine and drink half of it before I head out or do whatever the day's tasks consist of. If none, I open up about thirty tabs and go apeshit on internets, looking for whatever inspires me... It's really a great drug, to tell you the truth, until it wears off and you feel jittery I guess... What are your favourite beans, people? What's the best coffee in town? Say Tim Hortons and perish. Update » JasonBeastly wrote on Thu Jan 8, 2009 @ 1:45pm But that would be crazy if it were true so for the hell of it, yeah, I DID 30 TABS! HELP ME!! I'm mletiaiangs dal;adalfjal3wog94

I'm using the columbian beans I bought at Seigel's for 7$ a pound in a giant evil bean grinding coffee machine my room mate brilliantly got for free from a craigslist post. The steel pot keeps coffee warm for like 2+ hours without using an element to heat it, awesome.
Then I usually hit up digg and open 25 tabs.
I'm feeling over 9000 right now.. |

I really miss coffee (can't have anything cafinated with Chrons), but the best for me was by far the Yemen Mocha from Deux Maries on St Denis+Marrie Anne, closely followed by Ethiopian Longberry.

Today, I drink this cup to you, my friend. That is sad to hear. Coffee is such a pleasant buzz. Update » JasonBeastly wrote on Thu Jan 8, 2009 @ 3:27pm Best coffee IMO is Ideal Coffee in Toronto, Café Rico over here is also fucking amazing, but I haven't determined which of their many varieties is my top.
Currently drinking Coffee Tree Roastery's Organic Fair Trade Espresso, courtesy of a shop in Toronto... mmmmm....

It sucks hard with acid though, definitely does not mix.
You start to become so aware of your gutrot and your general high levels of coffee-scented urine and the jitters get magnified times 1000. Not that I did acid, but I have, and WOW THAT UNICORN'S HORN IS SO SHINY!

Wow, it would be cool if I could just stand on the coffee pot and do that thing like Samus Aran where I glow a second and then it goes to the save screen.
Actually those energy cells in Metroid look a lot like espresso machines, ever noticed that? Am I wrong?

It happened during Grand Prix once, I was in the kitchen and the rush hit, and I swear, I had drank about 40 cups by then. The executive chef was blown away, I supervised three commis de cuisine while expediting to them and plating all the salads, and we had a volume that would have caused most people to bail.

I drink 2 tims a day, I love tims... I have some PC gourmet crap at home, which really sucks, no matter how much cream you put(or sugar for that matter) I don't know why I keep buying that crap though, I think this will be my last tin...
The best coffee I had in a while was from the fresh roast bean place at atwater market near my place, they sell this half/half blend that is so good, but also kinda pricey... Ufot-mmmmm coffee
I'm feeling haxin an milkin all right now.. |

I so don't have a good cafeine endurance :( I can not go more than one coffee a day or I start feeling really bad, and my heart race like crazy... BUT IT TASTE LIKE HEAVEN :( unfair.
Nothing like walking up to a bowl of Café au lait... And puting sugar in coffee should be illegal :p
I'm feeling gabber bitch right now.. |

Pricey you say... you're comparing to powdered coffee with added caramel flavouring (tim's), and you say pricey? Coffee should be real coffee, even on a budget it's affordable... given you have a machine of some sort I guess.
Next question, French press or Bialetti style espresso maker?
