It's a really fucked up video..

The worst part for me is that I was watching it and had no problem with it, but then there's stuff like The Devil's Experiment that's 100% fake and special effects that I can't watch more than 30 seconds of..
I'm feeling your norks right now..

Hah, I just realized, Guinea Pig = the devil's experiment
I've only seen Flower of Flesh and Blood, I had a fucking hard time keeping in mind that it was all fake. :\
I'm feeling gimme crackpipe right now..

Yeah, The Devil's Experiment was the first Guinea Pig movie.. Flowers of Flesh and Blood was tame compared to that one..

Yeah, I don't mean it was creepy or even too gory, just.. pretty graphic.
I'm feeling gimme crackpipe right now..

the chair-spinning sequence in Devil's Experiment was pretty difficult to get through - not because of what was going on, but it made me dizzy.

As for Flower Of Flesh And Blood - one of the later Guinea Pig films was a 'making of...' feature on Flower... that's the one that got all the notoriety, though... due to people thinking it's a snuff film.
I'm feeling new records right now..

In the movie 'The Wrestler' you see Rourke do 'extreme wrestling', with glass, staples, barbed wire etc.. that was pretty rough to watch.
I'm feeling pompous right now..

A few friends of mine in Winnipeg worked as pro-wrestlers... and it's really nasty when you see that stuff in person... I remember going to one show where there was a fans-bring-the-weapons hardcore battle royale. A guy I went to high school with was the last person to be eliminated, and I saw him downtown the next day. He was a wreck... black eyes, stitches, bruises and could hardly walk around.

That stuff takes a serious toll on people...

the documentary "Beyond The Mat" is a pretty good watch... and allows you to see the sort of lifestyle a lot of pro-wrestlers have.
I'm feeling new records right now..

You can say that again.

Alright, so it seems like most of you guys have seen your fair share of pretty sick films.
Care to make a list of your favourites, or perhaps the most disturbing films you've seen?
I'm feeling cool right now..

I saw that murder sequence (the Russian guys) and it traumatized me horribly. The gurgling made me sick, literally. I was shaking when my gf got home, three hours later. I felt truly horrid but I felt the need to see it to test my sense of humanity. I wanted to know what kind of creep does this sort of thing, but the truth was far scarier than I realized.

Gaspar Noé by comparison is a true artist, a person capable of creating traumatic imagery without having to do anything reprehensible. That is, unless you find his honesty unsettling. The scene with the oxygen tank was apparently a bit of guerrilla filmmaking... the people at the spa didn't know it was fake so those are truly mortified reactions you're seeing.
I'm feeling totally pitted right now..

of course the extras knew it was fake... there's an SFX making of featurette for that scene, where we can see Albert Dupontel stopping mid-way, not hitting the actor. the gore is all CGI

Ah well... that blows if it's true, the urban legend I heard was that the effects were old school and that a bunch of extras puked.
I'm feeling totally pitted right now..
