I know alot of game testing companies are hell to work for but i havent heard of this one, and I'm desperate for a job. It'd be for tech support. Anyone have any insight on them? They're on Prince street in old montreal/griffin town.

I'll ask my roommate when he comes back if he's heard about it, he's been working as a tester for easily 12 years, and he's been to a large majority of the testing places (currently working at Bug Tracker, like, down the street {it's above the Super C on Pie-IX that's just around ontario})

Make yourself the best possible portfollio if you want a art or developpers job. Go check regurely the website. (the job available are posted there and changed often) If you don't have a diploma, you may want to consider starting as a tester and work your way "up". But tester is between 9,50 and 11 an hour depending on the compagnie. Prepare yourself for the interview!!! It's not like trying to work at Mcdo... In Montreal there is right now: Developpement and testing Ubisoft, Gameloft, Eidos, EA, A2M testing la Babel, enzyme, and another one I forgot :S argh Sure I'm missing some, fill in if you can :p

And they got a huge sign in front of the building :-P
But testing for EA sucks, since it's on-call and you're not sure to work 40h/week, otherwise i'd probably be working for them :P |

yeah, also from what I hear, all that the EA here is looking for testers for is cell-phone games, mostly.. I don't think games can get any more boring than that.
I mean really, if you want to play a game on the go, get a PSP or a DS! What ever happened to having a phone to make, y'know, calls?

Update » Shindy wrote on Wed Dec 10, 2008 @ 2:57pm Screwhead : the mobile market is mostly in country where people CAN NOT AFFORD ds and psp...
Not everyone on heart has the luxury of having cheap console and games (and believe me, here compare to other country, it is cheap, even compare in the same device!) In India or china a ds can go to 300$ can... People who have less money to start with will have most of the time a phone (and prolly pay by the compagnie). The mobile game are what they can afford and play with :)

Yeah, we do cellphone games mostly for regions that use them more than anything else. And EA Mobile has both Pacman and Tetris, so that's always a plus!
