Seems like I lost my case with my turntable needles in them. I remember a couple of people borrowing it for parties cause they didn't have needles to play with. If anyone knows where the case is, I'd appreciate it back...

Thanks!
I'm feeling nuclear right now..

i remember how you saved the D&B room at Suiggles and scribbles - came and supplied the decks, lighting AND needles for me to use =)

It's a two way street...you don't get help without giving any.
As a dj, I will never blindly lend out my gear unless it's payed
for, ever again. It's one thing to be renegade, it's another to be
completely disorganized and looking for handouts from ppl (ie: squiggles & scribbles aka utter fail)

Noah is a very selfless person to have helped those tards out the way he did.

very true dude

I used to be wayyyy too nice. when I first started out in like 2000 in Toronto, I would play for free for people, even when they were charging money at the door, i would accept their bullshti story about how it's "all for the music", cuz I really was about it. I loved playing for people so much. I would bring my very nice system out for people to play on, and lug it all home again at 5 AM - for free

would lend RCA cables which often were not returned...

some DJs would even ask me to come and play and then ask me to bring some of my best records for THEM to play... fuck that.

Icouldn't believe how pushy some of these chumps were. if they think you are a 'nice' person, they are more than willing to take as much as they can from you. they aint about the music at all.

like you say, doin free renegade parties is the best, but there are lots of people who are just looking for a free lunch
