yes, the button is there but it's not useful... press on your master button, then click back on chanel 1 without turning off your master. explain then, what happens to the sound in your headphones. yeah, i'm picky, but i know what "i" like and need. if it's great for your, buy three of them. i wouldn't take it as a gift.

source or output cue. there is a big difference,

1) one is merged the other one isnt
2) the master is a tap on the output , eq included , waveform blended
3) channel cue is possibly eq included , but source waveform tap

basically your taping on 3 different amps on 2 different stage.

even more cristal:
master is like you listen to the plug master at the back , after all the effects , and the combination
cue channel 1 or 2 , is like you listen to the inputs only, sometime the equaliser is taken out too,
but its definitely before its combinated with the other wavefore wich cause a sight damp in the sound when its combined, due to phase reversal by connection, and due to the lengh of clad in the mixer in between the preamp eq and the output amp, and the actual combination by the transitor, due to the stacking of polarized material in the chip witch make it an active amplifier.

like listening to music in the room where its playing , or in an adjacent room, distance change lots of thing , distance is frequency, witch in turn is sound lengh.

to add a little, when you switch between chanl 1 and your master button, chances are your "volume" of each channel will be much, MUCH lower than the master button (in your headphones). so that makes things terribly annoying when you have to toggle quickly between the three channels !!
