The power structures in society are only macro versions of the family structure, therefore we are born into them and we learn the rest as we go along. Weather human nature is learned or built in, its probably a combination of both. And no matter how good our intentions are, we cant discount history and we cant ignore what is already in place.

I got really depressed because of this movie, and found that although the guy points out the faults of the system and where we should go with the world he offers up no solution on selling it to the system scamming us. If the people in charge only care about their lifetime and their own security, what would drive them to abandon a successful scam just so that everyone can live in Utopia? What steps would we have to take to get to the Venus Project with the least possible casualties? How do we stop the insanity?

Is that how?

it's not gonna be some politician changing things, like Jaques Fresco says in the film, the system will actually have to collapse before we get to a place where implimenting something like the venus project could happen...
I'm feeling surly right now..
