Ok, MAJOR props to a LOT of peeps on here. Recoil ( Trip II the Moon FTW ! ) and Fishead notably. Art Of Noise ? I thought I was the only one who remembered that ! Who could forget Moments In Love ? Or PARANOIMIA !

Matt Frewer / Max Headroom FTW !

This is not my actual selection but worthy mentions. If time permits, I'll do an actual list at work :

808 State - Cubik

WIPEOUT 2097..... :]] Fluke - Atom Bomb

One of the very first acid tracks I've owned : Stakker Humanoid - Humanoid

More to come...
I'm feeling code monkeys right now..

Haha...seminal track :)

Stakker Humanoid was actually Future Sound Of London before they became FSOL

They also did an album called Amorphous Androgynous which in my books is one of the best ambient albums of all time

Some more favorites:

LFO by LFO

TRICKY DISCO by TRICKY DISCO

I'm feeling bass heavy right now..

i rememeber that party at metropolis... the month after ( or before ) there was Moby - Orbital and Aphex twin at metropropolis too!

I'm so glad you mentionned the See The Light show at Metropolis,

I had a discussion the other day with someone about weather Aphex had ever been to Montreal,

They didn't believe me when I said he came with Moby and Orbital way back,

Best concert ever (and it only cost $18.00) :)

i left when Moby start playing guitar :)
aphex twin was hard as fuck that night ( sounds like warp 39 ) and had 1 single dancer (!?!?) on the stage with a strob...
i saw a lot of people with hands on their ears! hehe

92-93.... golden age... its easy to say almost everything was good at that time.
the Hypnotist, Hardfloor, CJ Bolland, L.A. style, Quadraphonia, Biochip C, Joey Beltram, Human Ressource, Pete Namlook and the list goes on...

Btw Klaus Schulze - Irrlicht... try codeine and jack daniels and enjoy that masterpiece!

Everyone thought the dancer was Aphex,

Big tall guy, he just walked out and started busting moves the whole set, a bit like that techno vicking guy,

Aphex was crouched in the back (sitting down if I remember correctly), didn't look at the crowd once, finished his set and walked off.

Orbital WERE AMAZING! They had those little lights on the side of their head. They played everything, SATAN, LUSH, HALCYON with the full light show and the video screens. They were super cool too, they came down and hung out with the crowd after their set, Phil Hartnoll even bummed a smoke of me lol...

Moby was okay, too political though, he had people passing around flyers against animal testing and shit like that. He did get naked at one point and stand like he was crucified in front of a strobe during THOUSAND but overall I always thought he was a bit of a wanker.

Dj Tim was there too, one of the guys from UTAH SAINTS, he was pretty good
