In yer face - 808 State

There's a voice at the beginning predicting the fall of American society,

Essentially an industrial breakbeat track,

Heard it on the BBC in 1990 when I was living in Africa,

Blew my mind :)
I'm feeling bass heavy right now..

have the UK 12" (ZTT), as well as the US (Tommy Boy)...

on that note... special shout out to early-ish electronic pioneers...

Art Of Noise:

as far as I know, this cut is the source of the "Hey!" sample used in Prodigy's Firestarter... although, not necessarily this mix...

oh fuck, yeah, the first Wipeout soundtrack was the best.. As good as the rest were with "big-name" artists on them, the original all-Cold Storage was the fucking best!

hmm.. I should make a mix of just the first wipeout soundtrack...

Nice track, Bliss, and good thread, too.
Awesome way to educate myself on some good music.

The new soundtrack for Wipeout HD looks pretty interesting, too.

the orb - little fluffy clouds is a really good one.
i rememeber that party at metropolis... the month after ( or before ) there was Moby - Orbital and Aphex twin at metropropolis too!
Anything by Coil is genius!

Jones & Stephenson - The First Rebirth
E-de-cologne - Zimboculture
Nurse With Wound - Thunder Perfect Mind ( 2 x 20 min trax a HUGE experience )
Harold Budd - Gypsy Violin
Jeff MIlls - Phase 4

but only ONE track...
thats such an unfair question that ill go with the Residents - My Work Is So Behind!

I'm so glad you mentionned the See The Light show at Metropolis,

I had a discussion the other day with someone about weather Aphex had ever been to Montreal,

They didn't believe me when I said he came with Moby and Orbital way back,

Best concert ever (and it only cost $18.00) :)
