iTS pretty ill, and it reminds to keep working hard on beats, so that one day my name will be in big letters on a fancy poster up in some dudes studio ;) (actually, my name is already on a fancy poster in some dudes studio :D ) ( but it could be on more posters, maybe even fancier, in other peoples studios)

They were on their exit planet dust tour at the time :) Ufot-wow, was it that long ago... I did the promo for that event. My first job when I moved to Montreal was working as a poster and flyer guy for their parties. Channel Productions were wicked, brought in a lot of big acts for the first time (Chemical Brothers, Daft Punk, Rabbit In The Moon, Derrick May, Carl Cox, Coldcut etc...) I quit when I got beat up by some of the Sona bouncers for passing flyers outside. Crazy Eddy was one the promoters back then and he didn't like the Channel guys. I got dragged into a dark corner of the parking lot at 4 am where Crazy Eddie told me he'd break both my legs if ever he saw me again. The next time I went to Sona was when I open up for Afrika Bambaataa at Sona's 6th anniversary...lol

ya man 2 Bad Mice
here`s the 2 Bad Mice remix of Music Takes You - I love the original the most but this is a good remix - love those choppy old drums another classic from the same era Johnny L - Hurt You So ok this whole EP is probably one of my favourite in my entire jungle collection - one of the 2 Bad Mice - Rob Playford - helped produce it.. - early Goldie-Rufige Kru from 92 Metalheads - Sinister some more classic biz - Deep Blue - Helicopter Tune - Rufige Kru remix and finally this track - classic early hardcore jungle from the masters 4 hero - Journey From the Light |

Feel the drums, man I loved that track to death,
Found a copy for a buck the other day I got another track by M1, on emotive, has a wicked ragga/trip hop track on the big side, That guy was definitely a fucking good producer, Whatever happened to him?

a small handful...
Higher Than The Sun - Primal Scream (the entire Screamadelica album is amazing) Technarchy - Cybersonik (the track that turned me onto techno in '90) Windowpane (Astral Dustbin Dirge) - Coil (one of the most hallucinogenic cuts ever) Pacific - 808 State (100% timeless) Spirit In Descent - Mechanism (epic, mindblowing, and sadly forgotten) lots of good recommendations in this thread... although, I must point out that Halcyon+On does not exist without It's A Fine Day by Opus III (which was, imho, a weaker track than I Talk To The Wind)
I'm feeling new records right now.. |
