If stock prices fell that hard it's because a lot of people sold their stocks... Someone made a lot of money off this... I wonder who were the first people to sell... I'm sure 700b was gained from all this by certain people...

that's not how it works. yes, people sold stocks and left with money, but those companies that had their stocks sold now have less money, when so many companies have less money they have to make cutbacks. those cutbacks end up being felt when they start firing people. then the economy slows..
