VERMONT -- People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals sent a letter to Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield, cofounders of Ben & Jerry's Homemade Inc., urging them to replace cow's milk they use in their ice cream products with human breast milk, according to a statement recently released by a PETA spokeswoman. "PETA's request comes in the wake of news reports that a Swiss restaurant owner will begin purchasing breast milk from nursing mothers and substituting breast milk for 75 percent of the cow's milk in the food he serves," the statement says. PETA officials say a move to human breast milk would lessen the suffering of dairy cows and their babies on factory farms and benefit human health. "The fact that human adults consume huge quantities of dairy products made from milk that was meant for a baby cow just doesn't make sense," says PETA Executive Vice President Tracy Reiman. "Everyone knows that 'the breast is best,' so Ben & Jerry's could do consumers and cows a big favor by making the switch to breast milk."

serisously, I'm all for protecting the animals and all but the people in PETA are just crazy...
Most of the time makes the cause go back because they harrass people. In the end, we don't even listen anymore...
I'm feeling gabber bitch right now.. |

They do more than that. They kill animals. They kill 2/3 of the animals they "save", their recent numbers have shown.
They're also fucking hypocrites. One of the top organizers uses insulin, which is tested on animals. When asked about it, she claimed that her life was more important than the animals because she can save more animals by being alive than they would. They also fund animal liberation fronts, which destroy / blow up science buildings, sometimes not bothering to see if people are inside. And lastly, no one really pays attention to their motto. They want a complete liberation of animals. This means, in a nutshell: no pets, no meat, no nothing. Animals are free to come and go wherever they want. A bear got into your house? You're shit out of luck. If you don't like it, move out.

I dunno, if a bear ever walked into someone's house, unless you're a damn good shot and can nail it in the head, your best bet is to GTFO..

Oh, I know. The difference being that if the bear stays in your home, you don't MOVE OUT, as in, change home. That's what Peta thinks is right. :P

They should prove how right they are by volunteering for an "adopt-a-bear" program.

PETA released something like "sometimes the most humane thing to do with pets we catch is to put them to sleep".
PETA is a business like anything else. A business with a vegan agenda but a business nonetheless. I stated 2/3 but that was in 2005-06. [ Petakillsanimals.com ] states that in 2007, they killed 90% of their animals. Why do they do it? What do you do with the two-hundred or so animals you "save" from a cosmetic farm? You have no personnel to raise them and no time/budget to start a "adopt a kitten" program. Most of the said animals are not even domestic and you'd have to get all sorts of permits, fees and vaccines to get these animals to be "legit", so then what? The easiest answer is, buy meat freezer and kill them. Yeah. Check their latest stats: [ www.petakillsanimals.com ]
