I have never had problems with any behringer equipment. I am extremely satisfied with my current mixer

the reputation isn't so good, they have a nice headphone amp rack though.

why the hell would pioneer put out two mixers that look exactly the same, just have one that's much cheaper and built with lesser components?

It's funny from reviews that I've read, the beringer one has an analog EQ and the Pioneer one has a digital EQ, and the digital EQ is aparently horrible on the pioneer one and the analog is better sounding and doesn't suck the song dead.

well, acording to a large majority of the reviews I read on comparing it to the beringer one, it's digital EQ sucks the sound "dry" and "cold" and the beringer one, being analog, doesn't suck away warmth and sounds more organic.

heh, my experience with beringer's eq is that it sucks. heh. you turn the knobs too far and it activates the freq kill... which is stupid, cause once you try slowly introing that freq again, it comes blasting back on..

the djm500 has a verywell tuned eq that kills the freqency very well, and is much more linear. thus my liking it more then beringer's eqs..

crackly only happens if you don't take care of your equipment and the pots get dusty. And then, all it takes to fix is a drop of WD40 and twisting the knob a few times. (It's a problem with guitar wah pedals that's lead to using "ball-less mouse" technology to controll the effect while actual process is still analog.)
