hello all i posted in the music section as well. But i am shopping for cd dj's in the next month I was wondering what is good for someone like me who is used to turntables. I see alot of pioneer and i also see alot Vestax...I was thinking maybe the cd dj200's but then i saw some Vestaxs not sure what one but they were nice. It is time to change a bit although i will still play vinyl but if i am to get hired more often i have to make the change...
I am also finally getting the internet at home, i am getting with the time lol....Anyone know of any good sites for Tribal house, House ,Prog House and i was at a party and really ejoyed some of that psy trance i wanna try to mix it as well...Any suggestions?

Not really, Pioneer are the standard, learning to use anything else would be a slight waste of time, not to mention how solid they are. Don't learn softball if you want to play baseball... Update » AlienZeD wrote on Wed Aug 20, 2008 @ 1:29pm you also have to understand that I don't believe in cheaping out. If you want to buy equipment, but can't afford GOOD equipment, save up until you can.

understood thanks so onece u buy a pioneer cd dj let's say 200. U get hired to play a club and u know they have the cd dj 1000's it is the same concept right but with more effects and all that jazz right? Update » Turtle wrote on Wed Aug 20, 2008 @ 1:38pm the pioneer web site is cool but i am not a technical type of dj i know what i am supposed to do to a limit..But all that mumbo jumbo i have no idea. I am a good dj and that is it...Is that bad?
I learn as i go but i don't know the technical terms for them all..Argh....

The big difference will be in the job wheel... it all takes some getting used to. But that's just half the battle, you need to know how to use MIXERS conceptually, cause all clubs use different mixers, and although they have nearly identical functions, the stiffness, positioning, cue's, etc will all be different.
CDJ 1000's don't have effects, (as far as I know) they just have a much larger jog wheel, more pitch change levels and more data display...

I know mixers OMFG i know when i am hired i make sure i go check out the mixers at the places where i am hired..They scare the shit out of me....Like stereobar has 2 The Urei mixer and djm800...And that kinda scares me..But this why we r dj's to learn and learn from where we were and where we will go..
