 Coolness: 222440 | i dunno, throwing down a set would seem like something i'd be against (not sure why though), but it actually can be interesting. Now, with beatport n shit like that, i always make 2 copies of the same CD i burn to be able to cross-mix tracks on that CD. As long as the mean's don't "automate" things, then i can open up and accept something new.
some people mix with softwear like Ableton, but ableton (or whatever the spelling) DOES auto-beatmatch. yeah, YOU don't use it, but, in an ackward situation durring a set, with only 30 seconds left and you can't find the pitch it might just save your ass. there's some things that make you look "better" on the decks (like automation) and other things that can give you more time thing about beatmatching and how to bring in the next track better. There's a different between both. i don't think it's selling out to using only 2 CD's for a set nor does it make a DJ look bad. 14 second mixes and trainwrecks make a Dj look bad, especially if he's using a PC !! |

 Coolness: 249100 | Lynzyn,if you like the vinyl feeling,you can do like me and by Traktor Scratch ( or Serato scratch live).Same as spinning a real vinyl, i fucking love it.I'm getting addicted and i'm buying tons of tons of mp3 now .And Clown,i understand why you say autobeatmatch sucks.I think i have the option on my traktor but didn't take the time to find it.Even ,the bpm counter always fuck it's not a safe way to mix ( espescially for DNB and Breaks,half the time it's not working cuz of the *break* beat ).Anyway ,i'm just saying! if you have a good laptop to handle it,it's amazing.
