Easy there. McCain's lucky she took it in an amusing way. If you were to be used for a campaign ad without your consent, and they deformed what you said to make them look good, you'd sue them. Doesn't matter who she is. It only matters what McCain did.

You're right about the speech part. I'm still waking up. I meant the image. By that I meant to convey that he used Paris (and Britney) to create some kind of comparison to Obama.
And who cares if she is a public figure? As far as I know, unless it is for parody purposes, you can't use someone in commercials without consent; even more so for political attacks.
And especially not when the mother of the one you're using is one of your biggest supporters. McCain shot himself in the foot with this one. Anyway, the polls have shown that his negative ads have actually given Obama a boost. So it's a double-fail for McCain.
