Apart from the fact that such an approach is probably highly illegal and that she is a sworn abstainer, it's fairly obvious that the company have only made the approach to the Disney actress in order to promote their name, which is pretty shoddy work (although congrats on the massive amounts of free publicity). But no, you see the company are concerned about high levels of teenage pregnancies (which directly affects their profits) or so their spokesman claimed. "With recent reports showing that one out of four teenage girls has an STD and the high level of teenage pregnancy, we believe that Miley is both influential and relatable to this afflicted set - and is the obvious choice to get the message of safe sex out to teens across America." So that's alright then. All of this comes in the aftermath of the Annie Leibovitch photos of Cyrus (daughter of 'Achy-Breaky Billy') which caused a stir, depicting her with a brief smattering of sexuality and a naked back (it's hardly Natalie Portman in 'Leon', is it?). Oh, and some revealing camera phone photos which showed her in a wet T-shirt in the shower and posing seductively for an admirer on the internet. It is not anticipated that Miley will approach her next set of contract negotiations with Disney with a great deal of confidence. One way or another, she's fucked. |
